Welcome to my (very fancy 💁‍♀️) website!

A bit about me: I’m an LA native, and come from a family of Iranian entrepreneurs and have always been fascinated by the power of startups to influence change with little capital. I’m a Stanford grad and was the first hire on the investment team at Pear VC before venturing out to start my own company in the beauty space, Mirra.

By marrying content, community and commerce, Mirra empowers millennial women with the tools they need to navigate the unregulated, $14 billion skincare industry. After releasing a weekly skincare newsletter that grew to 200,000+ subscribers without ad spend, we launched Mirra Labs in stealth: a beauty/wellness incubator where we created and tested a number of projects with our community including science-backed topical skincare products, indigestible supplements, and an allergy telehealth co. Mirra raised $2.2MM from institutional investors including Pear VC, Sweet Capital and Global Founders Capital.

I also have a passion for the interplay between creators and consumer products. I served as the interim CEO for Pear portfolio company, Script Inc, a social media app that reached 500,000 users in Southeast Asia. I also launched a number of viral hits including reality tv show #ZoomBachelorette, virtual kitchen GayBurger, influencer incubator Rocketship House, and co-hosted #LATechWeek

I’m interested in all things consumer, especially products where distribution is in the DNA of the company from day one, and founders with a strong “why.” Building something cool? Email me! I sometimes write things. Sign up for my newsletter.
